Artist's Statement:

Kelly creates landscape paintings that examine the shifting conditions of the natural environment. Through layered applications of oil paint, she responds to light, weather and surface. Her restrained though diverse palette and process-led approach allow each work to evolve over time. Based in Sherbrooke Forest on the outskirts of Melbourne, her practice is informed by close observation of the rainforest landscape, its atmospheric qualities and its constant change.
