ABOUT THE GALLERY
Established in 2018, Project Gallery is an independent, woman-led contemporary gallery based in Woollahra, Sydney. The gallery presents a regularly changing exhibition schedule featuring emerging Australian artists, alongside select mid-career and occasional international practitioners.
Supporting emerging artists sits at the heart of the gallery. We work closely with artists at important stages in their careers, presenting new work across painting, sculpture and works on paper in considered, cohesive exhibitions.
Project Gallery was founded by mother–son duo Katie Fischer (Proprotor) and JC LeFort (Operations & Marketing). With over two decades in the Australian arts sector, Katie brings a combination of curatorial expertise, deep knowledge of emerging talent, and insight as a practising artist. She shapes each exhibition with care, ensuring every show reflects both artistic integrity and a sense of discovery for collectors.
We offer guidance for collectors at all stages, including assistance with artwork selection and commissions. Whether acquiring a first work or adding to an existing collection, we aim to make the process thoughtful and straightforward. See our Consulting page for further details.
A growing roster of represented artists can be viewed on our Artists page. Exhibition previews and digital catalogues are shared with subscribers for early access, with updates also available via Instagram (@project_gallery_woollahra).
All artworks are professionally photographed and carefully adjusted to ensure accurate colour representation online.
If you are an artist who feels their work would be a good fit for Project Gallery, please note that we have a full stable of artists. However, we are always open to submissions, feel free to contact us with examples of your latest work and tell us about your career. Please note our gallery is not for hire on request and we typically do not exhibit photography or digital artworks.
