"Through painting each composition becomes a moment held, observed and reimagined.

My work centres on the quiet poetics of absence, where human presence is felt but unseen.

Still lifes carry the subtle traces of life, flowers, explores the intersection of the fleeting and the enduring."

"I enjoy the secretive nature of the symbolism in the objects I use within my still life paintings.

I also like to apply this concept across all my genres and subject matter.

Whether its exploring the language between trees or the direction of heads in my portraits, my work is full of metaphorical elements from my life."
