ABOUT JESSICA GUTHRIE
Jessica is an emerging artist based in Sydney with her husband and 2 sons. Awarded the Sir William Dobell scholarship by the Julian Ashton Art School in 2015, she completed her full-time scholarship, receiving a diploma of Fine Art in 2016.
Currently working full time as an emerging artist, primarily as an oil painter, Jessica has been selected as a finalist in several notable art awards including Doug Moran Semi finalist, A.M.E Bale finalist, Gallipoli art prize, and Naked & Nude art prize, amongst others. Jessica regularly exhibits in group shows nationally, and exhibited her first solo show at Project Gallery 90, Sep 2022.
With a previous career in fashion design and production, and with an emphasis on still life and portraiture, her knowledge and passion for fashion, design, and detail are woven into her artistic sense and subject matter, working collectively to inspire her work with a strong focus on nature and surrounds.
