ANDREA WILSON

ABOUT ANDREA WILSON

Andrea came late to the practice of painting having spent 3 decades of her life as an architect.
After making the time in 2017 to do a couple of art courses at National Art School and Julian Ashton Art School and then entering the Waverley 9x5 landscape competition, she made the switch to painting full time. Since then she has continued to develop her skills with courses led by favorite artists as well as competitions and exhibitions.

“Painting helps me see things with newfound fascination and respect. I just want to do this forever”

Teaching

I have had extensive teaching experience in the field of architecture.

In 2024 I taught an online class with Penn Studio School of Art . The course ‘Quantity over Quality’ was based on my own approach to painting, and particularly on the strategies I used when I first began to paint.
